Squeezed between the railroad of the Canadian Pacific and the rich town of Mount-Royal, the district Park-Ex was a place of arrival for many immigrants in Montreal, it is one of the most multiethnic districts of Montreal city.
With the construction of the tram at the beginning of the century that the urbanization of this district really starts. In 1907 by the company Park Realty of Montreal speculates by buying three batches which were named “Park-Avenue Extension”, from there the name of the district Park-Extension. Now this district is part of Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension arrondissement
