Borough Montréal Nord

Montreal North was, not so long ago, a small suburban town where middle-class went to exile and escape busy central districts of Montreal. The district is contained between the Rivière des Prairies to the north and a railway to the south.

Held and managed with exemplary firmness by Mr. Ryan, the city of Montreal North was recognized as a management model among Quebec municipalities.

Time has changed, now the city became a district and has more then 83 000 citizen. Montreal North now live life at the same beat as the rest of the city. The 1 January 2002 Montreal North is merged with the city of Montreal. The city was founded in 1915. When looking at the borough on a map, we can see the alignment of streets different with the rest of the city.
