Short History

The municipality of Côte Saint-Luc was incorporated as a village on June 1, 1903. It was cut from his northern part in 1914 when the municipality of Hampstead was created.

Le village of Coast-Saint-Luc becomes the town of Coast-Saint-Luc in year 1958

In the Sixties, the town of Côte-Saint-Luc as known a huge growth of population with the construction of many high-rise Apartments buildings. Briefly part of Montreal city for 4 years, the municipality counts 40.775 inhabitants now and is now one of the biggest independent cities of Montréal Island.
