Informations and facts

The original building was only 7 floors height( right part of the image). This building was for a wile the tallest of the British Empire and Canada.

He was the tallest building in Montreal until the construction of Place Ville-Marie.

During the Second World War, Bank of England gold reserves were stoked in the basement of the building.

The building was owned 50% by SITQ since 2000 for 63.5 million. They recently put their part for sale. This building housed the headquarters of Sun Life until 1978, when the president decided to move out Quebec province to protest against Bill 101.

Area 963 000 square feet.

This building is architectural style of Fine Arts.
