The Canadian Historical Museum was a wax museum. It is now occupied by a pharmacy after being occupied by Le Commensal restaurant.

Wax Museum was opened from 1935 to 1989. There were 24 scenes including many religious scene of Canadian pioneers. The 200 full scale wax statues with real hair were purchased by the Museum of Civilization of Quebec when this museum closed in 1989.

The museum was founded by Albert Chartier and Robert Tancred, two sculptors from Grevin Museum in Paris. The place received nearly 300 000 visitors annually.
