The Bell Media Tower (Place Montréal Trust) is more than just an ordinary office building, it also contains a vast Internal mall of 320 000 square feet with a front on Sainte-Catherine Street and many link with the vast underground City.
In the early 80s there were several highly controversial projects to occupied this land. A construction projects provided shrinkage of McGill College Avenue with pedestrian "aerial" walkways passing over the avenue. This would have deprived us from one of the most beautiful views of the mountain.
Since 1999, the Plaza is owned by the company Ivanhoe Cambridge.
