Un des rares architectes montréalais du début du siècle connu à travers le monde. Né à Montréal en 1875, il étudia au Collège de Montréal avant de parfaire son art dans le cabinet de J. B. Resther et Fils. Il dédia la plupart de son temps professionnel aux églises et autres institutions. Il était membre de l'Association Québécoise des Architectes, The Royal Architectutal Institue of Canada, du Club Saint-Denis et directeur du Club Canadien.
