In recent years, many sectors add very interesting night lighting for our greatest pleasure. Whether the visual signature of the Quartier des Spectacles or “Old Montreal in Lights” that illuminates the oxidized copper building top, urban lighting is refining. Most beautiful buildings have now a backlight that often makes them more interesting at night than during the day. Although energy policies have changed and skyscrapers no longer open lights on all floors, outside directional lights often lick vertical profile to give an accentuated impression of height and a monumental almost arrogant impression but still always pleasant to watch.
Among our thousands of photos, several were taken at night. We have grouped in this virtual exhibit the most beautiful of them. Cities at night are often more fascinating and Montreal is no exception. The metropolitan skyline is visible from many places but Mont-Royal mountain still the best point of view.
