After a passage on the Saint-Denis Street in the Latin Quarter, the University of Montreal settle on the north part of Mount Royal mountain in Côte-des-Neiges district where it would have more place to grow. The least we can say is that the university took the place to grow. Now, apart the majestic main pavilion, the University of Montreal has now more than 20 buildings that we’ve listed here (list is almost complete).
Some buildings are not in our list like the CEPSUM (University’s gymnasium) mainly because the building has no interest in an architectural point of view.
It is interesting to know that several university’s building were purchased from the sisters of the religious congregation Saint-Nom-de-Marie like the music pavilion, and the Marie-Victorin building.
