McGill University Campus Buildings


Located in downtown area of Montreal bordering Mount-Royal, McGill College is one of the largest universities in Canada with more than 30.000 students. It is also one of most famous one and especially one of the oldest, it was founded in 1821.

McGill College was built on a land given by James McGill, part of his vast residence of BurnSide Hill then in withdrawal of the city. McGill’ campus if filed with splendid buildings with various architectural styles from Art Deco to Neo Gothic or classic style. As many residences were given to the McGill University, the institution is spread out in old golden Square Mile with many upper-class houses.
