Montreal International District

It is difficult to believe that the international district of Montréal was a vast parking a couple years ago. Several prices later the Victoria square find all his gloss thanks to an effective dialogue between the city of Montreal, Quebec as well as the various corporations.

This part of Montreal carried the trace of a bad town planning by big projects such as Ville-Marie motorway and the palais des congrès of Montreal.

So many different initiatives did the international district what it is today: enlarging of the palais des congrès, construction of the Riopelle place the moving of one of its beautiful sculpture: “La joute”, the construction of the caisse de dépôt et de placement du Québec, sumptuous Hôtel W, the refitting of the street Beaver-Hall… all these initiatives contributed in less than 3 years to the rebirth of this part of the city.

Many a new project are refashioning this district: The 1009 Bleury street, The Saint-Antoine, and to come: The city International Phase 2 and Riopelle; which will redraw the International district landscape of Montreal.
