Informations and facts

New research are telling that this house may have been built in a different year.

This ancestral home was built by Pierre, son of Marin Hurtubise on land ceded by Paul Chomedey de Maisonneuve himself around 1650. Building remained in the hands of the family until Dr. Leopold Hurtubise sold the house to Canadian Heritage of Quebec in 1959 (A foundation stated by C.J.G. Molson). If the house has retained much of its original look, It is because it was a concern for all generations of Hurtubise in possession of the house.

Once isolated, the residence is now surrounded by the most beautiful Westmount houses.

This building has been classified a historical monument the 16 of December 2004 by the Ministry of Culture and Communications.
