Public Building of Montreal


Before the invention of television, you could find theatres and music hall where everywhere in Montreal. The city was a major entertaining center. This page lists as possible all old theatres and cinemas which in some case, still in business today. Having often extravagant architecture, old theatres always are making an architectural statement. We have not identified all theatres here in activities in Montreal, but the buildings with an architectural interest. If possible we try to include those destroyed.
