René-Lévesque Boulevard

René-Lévesque Boulevard was enlarged in the late '50s as requested by the promoters of Place Ville-Marie. It passes through downtown Montreal East to West. This is with no doubt Montreal's skyscrapers boulevard.

The boulevard is named in memory of René Lévesque, former Prime Minister of Quebec and founder of the Parti Quebecois. This boulevared is formally known as Dorchester.
